Byron Jasper, MD, MPH
Hailing from Houma, LA, Dr. Byron Jasper is the esteemed Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Byja Clinic and a proud alumnus of Xavier University of Louisiana. Dr. Jasper earned his medical degree from Tulane School of Medicine, complemented by a master’s degree from Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. He went on to complete his family medicine residency at Baton Rouge General Family Medicine Residency Program, then becoming board certified in Family Medicine upon graduation. Dr. Jasper furthered his expertise with fellowships in Community Health Leadership Development at Georgetown University School of Medicine and HIV and Hepatitis C care at Providence Hospital in Washington, DC.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Jasper is the author of the widely praised book Byja Blueprint: An Introductory Guide to Direct Primary Care For Doctors, Patients, and Businesses. The book has received numerous positive reviews for its insightful and accessible exploration of the Direct Primary Care model, resonating with both healthcare professionals and patients alike. His dedication to community health and educational leadership is further reflected in his roles as the founder of two highly impactful nonprofit organizations: Comprehensive Medical Mentoring Program (CMMP) and Byja Charitable Alliance (BCA). Dr. Jasper serves as National President of CMMP, an organization committed to empowering minority students pursuing careers into health-professional fields, and as President of BCA, which aims to enhance public health in vulnerable communities by reducing health disparities and promoting healthy lifestyles.

Royce Butler, PsyD, MHA
Dr. Royce D. Butler earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology, with honors, from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2001. He completed a Master’s degree in health administration from Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in 2003 and worked as a program monitor with the Louisiana Office of Public Health for three years. In 2011, he graduated from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL with a doctorate degree in clinical health psychology, and subsequently attended and completed the school’s post-doctoral Master’s program in clinical psychopharmacology to become a prescribing psychologist. Dr. Butler completed his internship and residency with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and has been employed with the VA for over 10 years. He is the founder of Dawning Horizons, LLC, which provides mental health services to adults and their families. When not working, Dr. Butler enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and taking care of his beagle, Jaxon.

Farrah Franklin, CMA
Farrah serves as the Medical Assistant for Byja Clinic. Originally from Baton Rouge, LA, Farrah has been a Certified Medical Assistant for 13 years with 20+ years of experience in healthcare. Farrah has worked in pediatrics, family medicine, internal medicine, and infectious disease clinics. Farrah is a graduate of Baton Rouge Community College, enjoys caring for people, loves being a mother to her children and spending time with her family.
